Registration

  • Register for both regular and summer session courses using Tulane Online University Records (TOUR) [more].

  • Use the online Schedule of Classes Planner to ensure the sections for which you will register are open and there are no time conflicts.

  • Confirm your schedule by logging on to TOUR at the beginning of each semester. Failure to confirm registration will result in your being dropped from your classes.

  • Some closed sections allow you to add yourself to a wait list. Wait lists are allowed at the discretion of the department that offers the course.

  • You may drop courses from your schedule as long as TOUR is open for registration.
    • TOUR will not allow your course load to drop below 12 credits (the minimum full-time load) or exceed 19 credits (the normal maximum) unless special circumstances apply and your academic advisor has overridden the limit.
    • Add enough courses to ensure you will still have 12 credits or more once you drop a course.
    • If the course you want to add has a time conflict with the one you are dropping use the Conditional Drop/Add feature in TOUR.
    • If you are dropping one section of a course, adding a different section of the same course and dropping the current section will reduce your course load to less than 12 credits, use the Conditional Drop/Add feature.
    • If the course you want to add is full, you must add yourself to the wait list; Conditional Drop/Add can not add you to a closed course.
